So there I was, a recent college grad with student loans a mile high… A job in journalism that paid me about $14,000 per year… And to top it off I was about to get married.
I had no money, and no ideas. To say that I was only barely scraping by would not be an exaggeration.
I’m not telling you this story to try to impress you, or to get your sympathy. No. I was able to make 3 key changes that led me to where I am today. No matter where you are on your entrepreneurial path, I have a feeling that you can learn from my journey.
OK, back to the story!
As a journalist, most of my work was in the sports scene. And while I enjoyed the sports aspect, I didn’t enjoy working late at night every weekend, earning peanuts, or barely having any time to spend with my wife-to-be. I had to grind for that 14K, and it was often pretty discouraging.
After about a year of this, I had had enough. It was time for change. And that was when I discovered the three keys that led me to where I’m today.
